How to add a password to access a blog

There may be some private blogs on your WordPress website that are inaccessible to the public. This article will illustrate how to secure a blog post using a password.

To add a password access to a blog post  in WordPress, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to WordPress as the administrator.
  2. On the Dashboard in the left sidebar, click Posts, and then click All Posts. Next click on the addNew Button to create a new blog post:

  3. On the Options bar in the right sidebar, click on the the Visibility option:

  4. Select “Password protected” option, enter the password, and  then press OK:

  5. Publish the blog and the option to enter the password will be displayed to access the blog:
